The L League Community

The L League NYC is a recreational sapphic flag football league based in New York City, founded in 2024 with a simple goal: to bring people together through sport, creativity, and community.

We organize casual pickup-style flag football games for players of all experience levels. Whether someone has played for years, hasn’t touched a football since school, or is trying something new for the first time, The L League is built to be welcoming, low-pressure, and fun.

More than anything, this is a space for connection. New York can move fast, and finding community can be hard. The L League exists to create a place where people can show up, move their bodies, meet new friends, and feel part of something supportive on and off the field.

We believe sport should be accessible, inclusive, and joyful. Our games are centered around good energy, fair play, and building a community where everyone feels like they belong.

What We Do

The L League hosts regular 5v5 and 6v6 pickup flag football games in NYC. Our games are designed to be active, social, and beginner-friendly, without the pressure of traditional competitive leagues.
